- .HBOSC: Enhanced to support HB NHARMS auto-selection.
- .STATEYE: Added the steady_state, DCD_mode, Worst_Waveform and STET_format arguments.
- .SUBOP_DEF: Added the stack argument.
- .IBIS: Added the use_img argument.
- .MEASURE (Peak-to-Peak Jitter): Added TYPE argument.
- .PROBE: Added x() argument.
New Command Support
The following new commands are supported in this release:

Advanced Variability Analysis Documentation
The PrimeSim AVA: User Guide is updated for the following enhancements to PrimeSim AVA:
- Support for Monte Carlo analysis.
- Support for Post Processing utility.
QSC-S Foundation New OS
PrimeSim HSPICE S-2021.09 release is based on SNPS QSC-S foundation. This supported OS is upgraded to RedHat/CentOS 7.3 as at least.
Enhancement: Support for Standalone License Mode and PrimeSim HSPICE Token-Based License Mode
Beginning with release R-2020.12-SP1, you could choose between using the PrimeSim HSPICE tool in standalone license mode or PrimeSim HSPICE token-based license mode by setting the PRIMESIM environment variable (or -primesim command line option) to 0 for standalone license mode or 1 for token-based license mode. Standalone license mode is the default.
The S-2021.09 release adds support for a new setting, PRIMESIM 2, which enables both license modes (by default, standalone license keys are attempted first).
The S-2021.09 release also adds support for a new environment variable, PRIMESIM_ORDER 0|1, which determines whether standalone or token-based license keys are attempted first when PRIMESIM is set to 2. By default or if PRIMESIM_ORDER 0, standalone keys are attempted first. If PRIMESIM_ORDER 1, token-based license keys are attempted first.
Change: Moved Documentation
The PrimeSim HSPICE Commands Introduction had previously been documented in a chapter of the PrimeSim HSPICE Reference Manual: Commands and Control Options. As of this release, they are now documented in the PrimeSim HSPICE User Guide: Basic Simulation and Analysis, included in the PrimeSim online help.
The Parameters and Functions, Multi-Technology Simulation of 3D Integrated Circuit, and Library and Data Encryption had previously been documented in the chapters of the PrimeSim HSPICE User Guide: Basic Simulation and Analysis. As of this release, they are now documented in the PrimeSim Continuum Overview, included in the PrimeSim online help.
